Electric Bike Report has already looked at several Riese & Müller models – from the Homage, New Charger, Delite and Packster ranges, all based around Riese & Müller’s unique and practical yet funkily attractive frame designs.
We’ve also taken a close look at the previous Nevo model here and here.
The Nevo design has been updated for 2019 with an inframe battery as standard and the option of a second battery mounted on the down tube.
The GX Rohloff variant is new for 2019, giving an off-road twist to the previous range that was orientated towards riding on hard surfaces and the electronically shifting Rohloff hub gears also add further gearing options not previously available to the ever expanding Nevo family. This model is priced at US $7099 GB £5319.
The off-road facet is combined with the most powerful of the Bosch mid-drives, the Performance Line CX.

The e-bike segment of the Birmingham cycle show (branded The Cycle Show) grows year on year as does the backing of if by big brands.

In this continuing coverage of the 2019 eBikes from Interbike we have the latest and greatest from Bafang, Hase, Riese & Muller, Univega, & Yamaha.
Bafang featured their new M800 compact mid drive system that blends in well with the overall look of the road style bikes they had on display.
Hase showed off their recumbent electric trikes that use the Shimano STEPS mid-drive system. One trike is designed for off road riding with full suspension and a differential! They also had a recumbent eTandem on display.
Riese & Muller had a number of new updates to their line up with some full suspension eCommuter/Trekking style bikes and their new mid-tail eCargo bike.
Univega is a long time conventional bicycle brand that is now jumping into eBikes with a lightweight eCommuter and more models on the way.
Yamaha showed off their new Wabash bike that is designed for road and gravel road riding.

The new 2019 electric bikes keep rolling out!
Some of these bikes were at the Eurobike show and others have rolled out since.
There are some new eBike brands and new drive systems that are making a splash, including a mid drive motor with integrated gear box.
We will be seeing more 2019 eBike models as Interbike (largest North American bike show) approaches in September.

Full suspension e-bike at home in the city or on trails.
The Riese & Müller Homage GT Nuvinci looks highly futuristic, but in fact it is a new interpretation of a classic Riese & Muller design called the Avenue.
Alongside R&M’s Culture and the Delite it is part of their range of e-bikes combining features of city bikes such as a comfortable upright riding position, step-thru frame and slick tyres with elements of mountain bike technology, most notably a fully-suspended frame.
All this results in a range billed as ‘do anything’ bikes. These bikes are iconic frame designs in Germany where the company is based and are synonymous with the innovative and stylish engineering associated with the founders Heiko Müller and Markus Riese.
