The 2019 electric bikes keep rolling out!
Interbike 2018 was just held in Reno, Nevada and it was a good event for showcasing some of the latest eBikes that will be available very soon.
This is the first article in a series with videos from Interbike that will give you a closer look at some of the latest eBike tech and you will learn more about the companies that are involved in the North American electric bike industry.
Interbike is the largest North American bicycle tradeshow that is held every year for the bicycle industry.
The show was previously held in Las Vegas and the move to Reno offered better riding conditions at the Outdoor Demo area.

E-bikes in law enforcement?
Police departments around the USA are starting to see the benefits of e-bikes.
There have been a number of incidents when police officers on e-bikes have secured arrests where police cars haven’t been able to get to the situation as quickly.
Police Officer Benjamin Tseng of Federal Way Police Department (near Seattle WA) recounted, “in the very first week we were trialing e-bikes we arrested a wanted felon who had gotten away from officers a couple of weeks prior. When he was spotted, a patrol car pulled up and the subject quickly walked away, trying to blend into a busy parking lot. The patrol car was stuck in traffic but an officer with the ebike was able to zip through traffic and catch up to the subject and arrest him. Every year Bosch, Magura, and other bike companies get together in Sedona, AZ for the Magura Ride Camp to show off their latest products to journalists from all over the US.
This was the 13th annual Magura Ride Camp and it was good timing for the launch of the new Bosch eMTB mode!
eMTB mode automatically adjusts the Bosch power modes (Tour, Sport, Turbo) based on your pedal power so all you have to do is focus on your riding. Set it, forget it, and ride!
