A truly worthy off road electric bike has landed here in the US and it’s name is the Haibike XDURO FS RX!
The FS RX features the advanced Bosch Performance mid drive e-bike system, 120mm of front and rear suspension, a hydroformed aluminum frame, a solid mix of components (RockShox, Fox, Shimano, DT Swiss, etc.) and the 27.5″ wheel size.
At $5,200 this is not an inexpensive bike but it does offer a lot of bang for the buck.

It’s August 4, exactly one hundred years since World War 1 started, and I’m in a small Belgian town called Diksmuide.

I’ve completed a loop, I’m back in Stuttgart, where it all began, and the bike computer is showing 3,001 km (1,864 miles).

E-bikes are very popular all over Europe and many of the myriad of bike tour operators offer an e-bike option, usually at an additional cost, but obviously there aren’t too many unsupported tourers using e-bikes as yet, but for me, this has been a positive.
