A2B Joins the Electric Bike Expo Test Track Events

Eurobike Electric Bike Picture Gallery

Eurobike is the big international bicycle trade show that happens every year in Friedrichshafen, Germany and it is where a lot of the new electric bikes (and conventional bikes) are revealed.

This year the amount of e-bikes at the show was even more impressive than last year.

The director of Bosch forecasts that e-bikes will eventually make up 50% of the total bicycle market and according to Bike Europe that may occur in 2015!

Susan Jones toasts to a successful world record setting electric vehicle tour!
The Ride the Future recently finished at Google headquarters in Mountain View California after 3,700+ miles from Charleston, South Carolina all while setting 4 Guiness World Records for longest electric vehicle trips for the electric car, electric motorcycle, electric scooter, and electric bike!

I had a chance to join the tour for their Flagstaff, Arizona to the Grand Canyon leg of the trip.  I rode an A2B Metro electric bike with Ben Hopkins who set the Guinness Book of World Records for the longest trip on an electric bike (riding an A2B Alva). Checkout this portable solar charging solution from EcoSpeed!  It can plug directly into their batteries with a custom converter.

The panels are not cheap but it is exciting to think about the possibility of solar charging while out and about.  It could add a new dimension to e-bike touring.

May is national bike month in the US. KTLA in Los Angeles had this video coverage of e-bikes with Ethan from the IZIP Store in Santa Monica.
