This Class 2 eBike features torque sensor pedal assist and throttle assist up to 20 mph along with two battery capacity options.

iGO eXtreme 2.0 Electric Fat Bike Review Part 2: Ride & Range Test [VIDEO]

After many miles of testing the iGO eXtreme 2.0 it has proven to be a powerful eFat bike with good range and a well rounded accessory package.

With 4″ wide fat tires and a 500 watt motor the iGO eXtreme 2.0 will tackle sand, snow, mud, and pavement and is also fully equipped for everyday commuting and exploring.

Its 48V 13ah lithium battery provides good range (see range test results below), especially given that it is an electric fat bike, whose larger, heavier tires tend to reduce range compared to non-fat e-bike models with similar spec.

Electric Bikes Take Center Stage at CABDA West in Del Mar, California

DEL MAR, CA — The CABDA West bicycle industry show hit the Del Mar Fairgrounds in Del Mar, California for the second year on January 15-16, sporting over 200 exhibitors occupying 85,000 square feet.

Nearly 2,000 attendees visited the bicycle industry show from 585 bicycle shops.

The electric bicycle segment was well represented with a number of brands showing their newest models, including e-Bikes from Aventon, Bagi Bike, Batch, Bosch, Bulls, Dahon, GoCycle, iGo, Haro, Linus and Magnum. Electric Bromptons Compared: Brompton Electric, Swytch, Nano, & Velospeeder [VIDEO]

The Brompton is simply one of the best folding bikes in the world.

From being an idea conceived in a London flat by engineer and designer Andrew Ritchie back in 1975 it has become one of the world’s most popular folding bikes.

It’s success is based on the fact that not only does it fold quickly down to a very compact size of 60 x 59.5 x 28 cm (around 100 litres volume) but it is also an incredibly strong bike that rides pretty well too, given its small 16” wheels.

There are a number of electric options around, most notably Brompton’s own version.

As this was rolled out from 2017 there have been many other retrofit options developed in the preceding years and newer options like the Swytch, for the more budget conscious, continue to hit the market.
