I’m hoping that these ebike prices follow the development and marketing pattern set by large flat-screen TV’s that started out very expensive, then settled in to pricing affordable to all. If these bikes continue to be priced at the $2,000 to $5,000, (and higher), price point, only the affluent will be able to afford them, defeating a large reason for developing them in the first place!

There are also LOTs of kits, some for well under $1000. Of course you get what you pay for… but these kits will at least get you on the road and might be a way to use an old bike sittin’ around in the garage.
