“The biennial TTAT Conference brings together those involved with bicycle, pedestrian, and other active transportation and recreation modes from around Texas and the world. Presenters share current information and examples from the active transportation field, and spark inspiration to continue striving to make things better in each of our communities. The conference focuses on issues of economic development, health, safety, and many other topics relevant to advancing active transportation and trails. Conference attendees include those involved in the planning, construction, funding, economics, operation, management, promotion and use of bicycle, pedestrian, and other transportation modes. The conference provides breakout sessions, keynote talks and mobile workshops from experts representing municipal/state government, transportation advocacy groups, trail users, architects, landscape architects, transportation engineers, planners, and private businesses.”
Attendees of the TTAT conference were able to checkout the Expo on Friday afternoon before the Expo opened to the public. Here are a couple of posts from TTAT attendees at the Expo:
And soon after the TTAT conference the local media came out to cover the Expo!

The media coverage was great and it was also great to have some feedback from people that attended:
“Wow, what a terrific event. Just got back home after trying out the bikes and I’m still on a high. Great setup and organisation. I hope it will become an annual event.” – Hielke B.
“Best time I’ve had in a long time thanks guys. Loved the atmosphere and people. Ride on….” – Ronnie B.
“Just wanted to thank you for bringing the Electric Bike Expo to Houston. I am sure it is an expensive proposition. I think and hope you opened some eyes to the possibilities for using electric bikes for transportation. It was a great event, and it was a blast riding my first electric bike.” – Paul B.
“I enjoyed it. The various manufacturers were very accommodating and informed.” – Ken G.
There were 3 electric bikes given away at the Expo! Tempo Bicycles raffles off one of their Santa Barbara or Carmel eBikes at each Expo and at the Houston Expo the local charities to benefit from the raffle were the Children’s Assessment Center, BikeHouston, and BikeTexas.
