Light Up the Night! Ferei Bike Lights Review

If you are looking for bright LED lights for your electric bike, you may want to take a look at the high performance lights from Ferei.

The Ferei lights have high power LEDs that help you see the road or trail and helps you be seen by others.

I noticed that the really bright Ferei lights definitely helped alert car drivers to where I was!

These lights are not cheap and their feature list reflects that.

This is the lithium ion battery for the Ferei BL200.  This is the typical style of battery pack for the Ferei headlights.  The back of the battery has a grippy rubber surface when combined with the velcro strap keeps the battery from moving around on the bike frame.

Overall Thoughts on the Ferei Headlights & Headlamps

All of the Ferei lights produced a nice beam of light.  I used the lights on the road at high speeds as well as when I was riding on narrow, twisty mountain bike trails.  In both conditions the lights worked very well and I didn’t have any problems seeing obstacles in my way.

For riding off road, the combination of both the headlight on the handlebar and the headlamp on the helmet was a nice way to go because I could see around corners in the trail with the headlamp and see the trail in front of me with the headlight.  That combination also reduced depth perception problems that can happen if you only use one of the lights.

The headlight/headlamp combination also worked well on the road because the movement of the headlamp also caught the attention of car drivers.

The Ferei lights have a high quality look and feel.  I appreciate the aluminum casing, powerful LED bulbs, lithium ion batteries, and quick release levers.

When I was commuting around town I did remove the lights because I was worried about theft.  Since the headlights have the light and the battery separated it was a little more cumbersome than using a light that has the battery integrated into the light.

Since I used these lights for only a few months it is hard for me to comment on the long term quality.
