Palo Alto E-Bike Expo: Checkout & Ride the Latest E-Bikes for Free! [VIDEO]
The Palo Electric Bike Expo on April 22-24 at the Stanford Shopping Center is the place to ride the latest electric bikes. And best of all it’s completely free to attend and test ride as many eBikes as you like!
There will be 20 different brands and over 100 different eBikes to choose from to ride on the test track. Some of the bikes are launching at the Palo Alto Expo!
The test track has a hill structure to test the different eBike climbing capabilities and terrain features to test the suspension of some of the eBikes.
There will be bikes from A2B, BESV, BULLS, Easy Motion, Focus, Gazelle, Haibike, IZIP, Kalkhoff, Raleigh, Stromer, Tempo (Expo Charity Sponsor), Trek (Expo Track Sponsor), Vintage, Xtracycle, Yuba with the latest electric drive systems from Bosch (Expo Presenting Sponsor), Yamaha, Shimano, and more.
Many of the models are brand new to the US and here to be tested by you for the very first time!

In addition to checking out and riding the latest electric bikes, you can also meet 2 electric bike celebrities!
Susanne Bruesch from Pedelec Adventures is riding 2,200 miles from California to Colorado on her Haibike e-bike! Her tour is called Sand to Snow and she will be riding through a lot of western highlights like Yosemite, Death Valley, the Colorado Plateau in Arizona and Utah, the Rocky Mountains and then finishing at the Denver Electric Bike Expo that is June 17-19.
Susanne and company will be riding Haibike pedal-assisted SDURO HardSeven RC und SDURO AllMtn RC that feature the Yamaha mid drive system with a 400W motor and 400Wh lithium battery.
Mike Minnick and his dog Bixby will be at the Palo Alto Expo as they are also kicking off a major electric bike tour. Mike and Bixby will be touring on a Yuba electric cargo bike to encourage pet adoption and beat the current world record for longest electric bike ride with more than 10,000 miles of riding!
The E-Bike Expo events are free to attend and there are no sales that happen at Expo events to keep them fun and informative. If you are interested in buying an electric bike, many of the exhibitors are offering discount coupons at the Expo that can be redeemed at local eBike dealers.
In addition to discounts there is the possibility of winning an electric bike!
Tempo Bicycles will be raffling off one of their Carmel or Santa Barbara hybrid electric bicycles worth $4,000 to a lucky winner and the raffle proceeds will go to the following local charities: Quakes Community Fund, Branham Hills, Silicon Valley Humane Society, and the California Bicycle Coalition. The raffle tickets will be $5 each and there will be multiple charities to buy the raffle tickets from to increase your chances to win a Tempo hybrid electric bicycle!
Easy Motion will be giving away a 350W EVO Jet electric bike worth $2,800 to one lucky person who test rides any of their bikes!
Stromer will be giving away one of their ST1 LTD electric bikes worth $5,000 to one lucky person who test rides any of their bikes!
That’s $12,000 total in electric bikes being given away!
New Electric Bikes to be Launched at Palo Alto!
Stromer will be launching their new ST2s in the U.S. at this Expo. The ST2s has nearly a 1,000 Wh battery pack with a claimed range of more than 100 miles, plus it has electronic shifting!
Focus will be showing off the Jarifa I29 Pro! This new eMTB uses the Focus Impulse mid drive with large 612 Wh lithium battery integrated in the downtube. Plus it has Bluetooth for smartphone integration.
Felt Electric will have their new Totem short tail electric cargo bike with the Shimano STePS mid drive system.
IZIP will have their new E3 Protour speed pedelec available for test rides.

Raleigh and IZIP are offering significant discounts, ~15% off retail, AND a $100 gift card rebate direct from IZIP or Raleigh.

There is so much interest in electric bikes in the Palo Alto area that Stanford Research Park will be running shuttles for employees of the Park to attend the Expo on Friday before the venue opens to the public.
