Why an Electric Bike is a Great Alternative to Driving a Car

So I thought I would kick off this new site with some reasons why I think electric bikes are a cool alternative to driving a car. That is really the reason why I have started this site. To encourage you to find another way to get around that doesn’t involve driving a car. I’m not saying that the ebike will replace your car. I’m just saying that it can be used instead of a car for some commuting around town. Oh and riding an ebike can be a lot more fun than driving a car!
Here is a list of reasons that I have developed so far. I will be adding more to the list. Please add to this list by leaving a comment below.

I rode my Kalkhoff Pro Connect into work this morning. It was great seeing the fall leaves.
As it gets colder, people stop thinking of riding their bikes into work and around. You can still do it! Our local non-profit Community Cycles is doing a Winter workshop https://communitycycles.org/programs/workshops.html shortly to tell people how to do that. An electric bike makes it that much easier.
Hi Jeff, yes the fall colors are amazing! Great work on your Winter workshops.
E-bikes are a great way to get around during the winter because you will not get as sweaty and that is a big deal when you are wearing a lot of insulated clothing.
I used these studded snow tires on an electric bike when I was living in Flagstaff and they worked surprisingly well!
