Biktrix Juggernaut Fat Electric Bike with Mid Drive [VIDEO & PICS]
The Juggernaut is a new economical fat mid drive e-bike that has just launched on Kickstarter for an introductory price of $1,499!
In case you are new to fat e-bikes, they have 4” wide tires for riding on almost any kind of terrain: sand, snow, rough roads, etc.
With the wide tires you can run extremely low tire pressures (5 to 35 psi) to contour over rough terrain and use the high volume tires as suspension.
The new Juggernaut uses the Bafang mid drive system with a 48V 11.6ah lithium battery and a 500 watt mid drive motor.
The frame is aluminum and it comes spec’ed with an 8 speed Shimano Alivio drivetrain and Tektro mechanical disc brakes.
As part of their Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign Biktrix is offering the first 10 Juggernauts to the “early birds” for $1,499. If you miss out on that first 10 there are more Juggernauts $1,599 and up.
Here is the Biktrix Kickstarter video to give a look at this fat mid drive e-bike:
And here are some pictures of this new fat-e:
Ready to roll…..over almost anything! There are 3 different sizes available to fit riders ranging from 5’-1” to 5’-11” and above.
Yes those are fat tires! The Juggernaut uses the 4″ wide Kenda K-shield puncture resistant tires. Riding a fat bike with low tire pressure definitely gives you an interesting perspective of what a bike can ride over.
The Bafang 500 watt mid drive motor and 48V 11.6ah lithium battery are mounted in the center of the frame for good weight distribution which is optimal for good handling, especially off road.
The Bafang display is known for being large and easy to read. There is the option of pedal assist which can be adjusted on the left side of the handlebars and there is also a thumb throttle if you want to cruise along without pedaling.

Nice(the new Biktrix Juggernaut), quality parts, extremely competitive price, A winner in my book. Like the non-hydraulic disc brakes and the Bafang mid drive.

Note the updates on the kickstarter too. 750W version available for US market at no extra cost. Biktrix starting off strong.

Hi Pete, Great report as always. The only suggestion I have is that there be some information included on range–not just this bike, but every bike. I know all the arguments about different weight, ambient temperature, terrain, topography, etc. But couldn’t there be a standard metric to allow apples:apples comparisons? I’d suggest miles per 100% charge on a flat, composition track for each of two riders: a man and a woman of average (or mean) weight. Why not? Thanks again for the great report.
