Velotric was formed in 2021 and currently produces two models of fat tire e-bikes, the Nomad 1 and the Discover 1. Both e-bikes feature 6061 aluminum alloy frames, 750-watt rear hub motors, suspension forks, and 26” x 4” fat tires. The frames come as either step-over, for riders who are 5’6” up 6’9”, and step-thru, for riders who are 5’1” to 6’4”.
They are dedicated to producing electric bikes that are elegant and stylish in appearance, while also offering high performance, reliability, safety, and affordability.
Company leaders believe e-bikes can help riders get closer to their environment, while moving them more efficiently and sustainably. Their design team bases their work on input they receive from customers and other e-bike riders. Velotric ships bikes directly to customers, free of charge, with 80% of the packaging being recyclable. They offer a 14-day customer satisfaction trial on all new e-bikes sold, and the include a one-year warranty,
Adam Zhang leads Velotric. He oversaw Lime Electric Scooter’s hardware team from 2017-2020, and brought some Lime co-workers with him when he formed Velotric. Velotric’s other employees came from such bike companies as Giant, Specialized and Decathlon.
