Mokwheel was initially founded in 2014 as an e-mobility company specializing in electric scooters. The brand’s founder, Denny L., had experience with scooters and hoverboards, but imagined greater potential in the industry. Thus, the e-bike company was formed and development of its products began.
In early 2022, Mokwheel released its first two electric bikes, the Tor Plus and Upland Plus, both fat tire models. Later in the year, the brand completed a successful Indiegogo campaign to develop and manufacture its flagship model, the Basalt.
The Basalt introduced a new concept to the e-bike industry: what Mokwheel has dubbed a “power station e-bike.” In conjunction with a power inverter, the bike can charge and power other devices with its onboard battery. The addition of solar panels allows the Basalt to be recharged on the go, allowing riders to set up base camp anywhere the sun shines.
The company’s goals are to provide continued innovation and to offer high-quality products with excellent customer service. We’ve been impressed with their line of e-bikes so far, which has been continuously expanded to include models for commuting, cruising, and adventuring. Mokwheel has even released an electric tricycle for those with limited mobility!
The brand has also continued to revise and improve its e-bikes, adding new features for safety and security. With affordable pricing, cool looks, and solid performance, Mokwheel’s products are undoubtedly compelling.
