An early innovator in the e-bike market, Juiced Bikes was initially founded as Juiced Riders in 2009 by Tora Harris, a Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering graduate of Princeton University. Harris is also an Olympic athlete, having competed in the High Jump event in the 2004 Summer Olympics. He was introduced to his first e-bikes in China in 2005, and observed how they had a transformative effect on the lifestyles of their riders. Harris used a kit to convert a bicycle to an e-bike in 2008, and the inspiration for Juiced took hold.
The company began as an importer of battery packs for DIY e-bikes, but Harris realized that most consumers preferred a complete pre-manufactured product. He then developed the brand’s first e-bike released in 2010 – a cargo model called the UDK Utility. In the following years, Juiced gained traction and grew, allowing Harris to expand his team while still remaining involved in every aspect of the business.
Juiced has zeroed in on its mission of creating safe, high-quality products at an affordable price, while offering reliable and trustworthy customer service. The brand also maintains a core focus on fun, with a desire to wow each and every new rider and build customer loyalty.
With its home office in San Diego, California, the brand designs and engineers its e-bikes on US soil. The bikes are made and assembled in China, then shipped directly to the consumer.
Juiced aims to continue leading the way through innovation, adaptation, and responding to customer needs and feedback.
