A while back I interviewed some electric bike and commuter bike specific store owners in the US to get their perspective on what it is like to run their stores and to see if these specialty shops are getting more people on bikes.  To follow that up I have embarked on a new adventure of interviewing people around the world who commute by bike/ebike.

Interview with Gary from Hybrid Cycles: Helping More People Ride Bikes!

One of the things I love about electric bikes is that they help people of all ages and ability levels to enjoy a bike ride again or for the first time.  Recently I interviewed Gary from Hybrid Cycles in West Chester Pennsylvania and he mentioned in the interview that ” Our prominent customer is the leisure rider over 50 who “love to bike, but hates the hills.”  He also mentioned that some customers have bought e-bikes to “keep up with their spouse” or “to deal with knee, hip or back problems”.  I have heard this many times before and it is great to hear again 🙂
