Haibike XDURO NDURO Pro Wins iF Design and Innovation Award 2014 [VIDEO]
This is a press release from Currie Technologies.
Currie Technologies and Haibike are proud to announce that the XDURO NDURO Pro has won the 2014 iF International Forum Design and Innovation Award.
This prestigious design competition is among the most renowned in the world, and both Haibike and its distributor, Currie Technologies, are excited to announce the warm reception this new model has received in the international design and product industry.
Five Haibike brand bikes, both electric and standard, were entered into the competition in 2014, and every one was an award winner. This 100% award rate is extremely unusual in such a prestigious event, and has only been achieved previously by Apple Inc.
The Haibike XDURO NDURO Pro was chosen by iF’s international jury due to the ingenuity and quality of the frame and system design. With 180mm travel and Bosch performance motor, the NDURO can tame any terrain.
Mavic Enduro wheels, Sram XX1 components and a redesigned suspension kinematic based on the Haibike Sprocket Equalizing System (SES) add to the bikes handling. A small pulley wheel redirects the chain around the main pivot and thus reduces pedal kickback without compromising on agility.
The unique design of the product was recognized as being outstanding not just in comparison to other eBikes or other bikes, but against numerous lifestyle products.
Here is a video with more information about the iF Design Awards:
The 2014 iF Design Award ceremony will be held on the 28th of February in Munich, Germany.
Haibike electric bikes will be available in the United States in May, 2014 exclusively through Currie Technologies’ Authorized Dealers.
