It’s possible to save yourself a great deal of time, money and energy by simply converting your bike to an e-bike. An electric bicycle conversion is quick and easy to do, and usually costs a lot less money than going out and buying a brand new e-bike.
Hi Paul, Thanks for your comment. That can be true, but there are a lot
people that will not want go through that process and there are some
complete ebikes that are a pretty good value. Some traditional bikes are
not well suited to the addition of torquey electric motors and additional
weight of an ebike kit.
I personally converted my own cargo bike to electric and it did save me
money, but probably not energy 🙂
I agree with you that the “do it yourselfer” with a good bike can save some
money.
